DIVISION FUNCTIONS:
The Parks and Forestry Division of the Department of Public Works are responsible for the maintenance and care of town owned land and trees. Work includes maintenance of town parks, the swimming area, preparation and lining of athletic playing fields, support for public recreation events and all school grounds. The Forestry division maintains town trees (planting, trimming and removal). Removal of dead/decaying trees is critical to the safety of public ways and those using public grounds.
