DPW Updating Water Service Inventory

GREENFIELD – The City of Greenfield DPW Water Department is requesting assistance from the community to update the department’s water service inventory. Please complete the survey from Tighe & Bond, who has been assisting with the process. MassDEP requires this work as part of the Lead Service Line Inventory Planning Grant from the Clean Water Trust.

Complete the survey at https://form.jotform.com/233455647989173

The Water Department would also like to update water meters with a new radio read Badger meter if it is older than ten years. Please schedule appointments to replace an aged water meter by calling 413-772-1528. We can also help you complete the survey/inspection at the time of replacement.

Greenfield has about 6,000 water service connections with no known entirely lead service lines. Almost all are recorded to be Copper or Brass. However, homes can contain lead throughout the interior plumbing and fixtures.
