City of Greenfield Installs Library Parking Signage

GREENFIELD – The City of Greenfield has installed new parking signage that indicates that the parking lot adjacent to the library will be reserved for library patrons only during library hours.

With the parking signs installed, the Greenfield Police Department and Parking Enforcement will ensure that patrons follow the established parameters. Any vehicle parked in the library lot during library hours that is not conducting library business will be ticketed for their infraction. Visitors to downtown are welcome to use the lot for other business when the library is closed.

The library lot had not yet opened when the Downtown Greenfield Parking Study was conducted in April 2023. The utilization of the library lot was analyzed in February 2024 which found that the lot was often 100% full during peak library hours.

A reminder that the hours for the Greenfield Public Library are:
Monday – Wednesday 9:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sunday - Closed
