Free Parking Available for Skate Park Grand Opening and Green River Festival

GREENFIELD –To accommodate upcoming Greenfield events, free parking will be made available for the Skate Park Grand Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, June 21 and the Green River Festival from Friday, June 23 to Sunday, June 25.

Free parking is available in the Chapman Davis Lot after 3 p.m. on June 21 before the skate park ceremony takes place from 4 – 7 p.m. at 71 Chapman St. Normal parking will resume the next day. The Skate Park Grand Opening Ceremony, which takes place on National Go Skateboarding Day, will feature vendors, refreshments and entertainment following a ceremony for the new recreation destination.

For the Green River Festival, parking will be free throughout downtown and in the Olive Street Garage starting at 1 p.m. on June 23. Regular parking conditions will be restored on Monday, June 26 at 8 a.m.

A shuttle service will be available to transport passengers to the festival’s Franklin County Fairgrounds location from the north end of Court Square. The Green River Festival will post signage to designate shuttle stops.
